Albert Valdez

Born and raised in the Taos area, Albert graduated from Penasco High School in 1975. On Christmas Eve that year, he was involved in a car accident that left him in a wheelchair.

In 1999, Albert received an Associate's Degree in Human Services from Northern New Mexico Community College in Espanola. In 2002, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, and in 2004, he earned a Master's Degree from New Mexico Highlands University. In 2005, Albert was licensed as a Substance Abuse Associate in the state of New Mexico.

Albert chose to enter this field because he wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. He is currently working towards getting his license as an Independent Social Worker.

Albert's hobbies are oil painting and art. He enjoys singing and he participates in a church choir.
