Gera Brown
Barn Coordinator
Geraldine "Gera" Brown was born in Switzerland and raised on the East Coast, primarily in Brooklyn and Long Island, New York.
After pursuing schooling in the veterinary sciences, Gera chose to follow her lifelong passion: horses. Gera pursued work on the East Coast as a groom and trainer on various racetracks. She then received certification as a riding instructor. Gera has been living her dream of bringing horses and young people together for the last thirty years.
Gera is a lifelong learner. She has most recently received her Level II Parelli certification (a natural horsemanship technique). In addition, she is pursuing a communications degree through UNM/Taos.
Gera has learned through her experiences with family and friends how damaging addiction can be, and she is therefore honored to help the young men at San Cristobal Academy to embrace recovery. In her spare time, Gera loves to read and to spend time with her own sons, who are now young men themselves.
