Jean Holly-Jenkinson, MA
A native of Southern California, Jean has lived in the Taos area for the last seven years. In California, she completed an MA in Psychology and worked in mental health settings for youth and adults.
Upon coming to Taos, Jean pursued her license in Special Education, and has applied this new knowledge in helping students with emotional and behavioral challenges achieve their educational goals. Jean has worked for the Pojoaque School District as well as for Casa de Corazon, a nonprofit organization which seeks to improve the mental health of Taos youth. Jean was Head Teacher at Casa de Corazon's RTC for 3 1/2 years, then helped plan and implement Escuela del Corazon, a program for behaviorally challenged youngsters.
Jean is currently pursuing a second Master's Degree in Counseling at New Mexico Highlands University. In her spare time, Jean enjoys singing, spending time with her two children, and hiking in the beautiful Taos mountains. |
