Case Manager
Julie comes to SCA with 15 years of experience providing therapeutic services to youth and families. Julie is an only child born and raised in Pueblo, CO by her mother. After graduating Central High School in 1989, she left Colorado to attend Morningside College in Sioux City, IA. In 1993, she obtained her BS in Psychology and Sociology. From 1993-1995, Julie worked in a residential treatment facility and was also a co-developer of an After School Program for the Sioux City, IA middle school district. In 1995, Julie returned to Colorado and resided in Ft. Collins. She worked as a counselor in a residential treatment/shelter facility for males and females. In 1998, she began graduate school at Colorado State University. In 2001, Julie graduated from CSU with a MEd in Counseling and Career Development with an emphasis in Community Counseling. Since then, she has worked as a professional mediator providing mediation to youth and families in crisis; she has worked as a Child Protection intake worker; been certified as a Multi Systemic Treatment (MST) therapist; was a Psychotherapist at an alternative high school; and recently worked as a Clinical Therapist providing Offense Specific Treatment to adolescent males.
Julie currently lives in San Cristobal, NM with her roommates and the love of her life, her dog Luna. Julie’s hobbies include cooking, drawing, painting, playing pool, camping and reading. |
