San Cristobal Academy |
LocationThe San Cristobal Academy is located in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains north of Taos, New Mexico. The academy is nestled high in a mountain valley, replete with towering ponderosa pine, juniper, grass, and wildflower meadows, and the peaceful flow of San Cristobal Creek. The Carson National Forest surrounds us on three sides, giving us access to vast wildlife. For further information on the forest, see www.fs.fed.us/r3/carson. Our view of the mesa west of San Cristobal stretches as far as the eye can see, and frames the most magnificent sunsets anywhere. Mailing Addresses
HousingHousing at the academy consists of a beautiful log home for Phase One with five roomy bedrooms, three tiled bathrooms, and a two-story great room with an overlooking loft. With its huge stone fireplace and connected kitchen, this room provides an open space for group meetings and activities. Phase Two students move off the ranch about five miles away into the Phase Two house. The Phase Two house is bright and spacious and allows Phase Two students to enjoy semi-independent living. We place our Phase Three students in a self-contained apartment in Taos and within walking distance to central historic plaza, shopping, galleries, restaurants, and the main campus of the University of New Mexico, Taos. To learn more about Taos, check out the Taos Guide at www.taosguide.com.
